Connecting Deel to your HiBob directory allows you to onboard your workers into Deel in just a few clicks.
The integration is a one-way sync from HiBob into Deel Global Payroll.

Connecting Deel to HiBob
✅ Step 1 - Connect to HiBob
Select the (1) App Store tab on your home page, click the (2) HiBob integration, and then click Connect to continue.
You must be an Org Admin, IT Developer Admin, or Integrations Admin-People to set up this integration.
✅ Step 2 - Enter your HiBob credentials and sync your information
You can do this by either using the User service ID and Token or using an API key:
For the User service ID and Token:
✅ Step 1: You will need to create or use an existing Service User. Please follow the HiBob guide on Creating a Service User here.
✅ Step 2: You will also need to add this Service User to a custom permissions group - please follow the HiBob guide here on how to create a custom permissions group and how to give specific permissions.
The custom permissions group will need the following permissions:
For People Sync plugin:
- Features → People → Directory → View the company's people directory
- People's data → People →Personal contact details → View all employees' Personal contact details sections
For Time-Off plugin:
- Features->Time Off->Settings->See company's time off settings
- People's data->Time Off->Balance->All
- People's data->Time Off->Requests->All
- People's data->Time Off->See who's out today->All
For the API key, please:

✅ Step 2 - Click your avatar in the upper right
✅ Step 3 - Select API Access in the dropdown
✅ Step 4 - Copy and add the Access token
✅ Step 5 - Select all Approved scopes boxes and save
People Sync plugin
This plugin will allow you to see which group members managed in Deel have a corresponding Hibob profile.
Finding matching profiles in Hibob is the first step to configuring your integration because we sync data only for matched profiles:
Time-Off plugin
This plugin makes HiBob the source of worker time-off reporting when using Deel.
You will need to authenticate via User Service ID and Token to use the time off plugin.
Please note that this feature is not available to customers that have authenticated via API Key.
If you have authenticated via API Key, you can re-authenticate by clicking the More button on the top right of the integration, and then selecting the Re-Authenticate option.
Once configured, any team member working as a Deel Employee for your team will enter time off into HiBob instead of Deel. This will only happen for Deel employees linked to a HiBob profile, which you can confirm via the 'people sync' plugin.
Each Deel time-off type needs to be matched with at least one time-off type from your HRIS to complete the plugin setup.

FAQs
[ACCORDION] How do I match Hibob and Deel user profiles?
Matching Deel and Hibob users is a critical step for our integration because we sync data only for profiles that are matched.
Our integration matches profiles via a check of the user's email address. If the email provided in Deel finds a Hibob profile with a corresponding email, then we link those two users.
If any of your users in Deel cannot be located in Hibob, this is usually because we can't find a matching profile in Hibob.
To resolve this issue, please make sure that all users in Deel have a corresponding user profile in Hibob, and that the profile in Hibob uses the same email address stored in Deel.

The integration will sync daily, at 12 noon GMT.

No, the integration does not sync or reconcile balances.
[ACCORDION] Why do we have discrepancies in balances between the two systems?
Discrepancies can arise if the total allowance in your HRIS system differs from that in Deel. To resolve this, ensure that your HRIS policy is aligned with Deel's. If alignment isn't possible, contact your Customer Success Manager (CSM) to discuss adjusting Deel’s contracts to better fit your company's policy where feasible.

The HRIS system may have PTO policies that differ from those in Deel, potentially leading to variations in accrual logic. As Deel cannot automatically align external systems to our policies, any necessary adjustments must be made manually to ensure consistency.
