This article explains how clients can request Mobility support through the Deel to Platform.
Most Mobility services begin with assessing a prospective employee’s eligibility for a visa in a given country.
Two types of visa support can be requested:
- EOR Visa Application: The Employer of Record (EOR), in this case, Deel, sponsors a visa application on behalf of the client
- Sponsored Visa Application: The client, not Deel, sponsors the visa application on behalf of the client. This means that the entity sponsoring the visa needs to be eligible to do so in the country where the visa application is being processed

Before Starting
Before requesting mobility support through Deel, clients must create an account and set up at least one entity.
For more details on how to do this, please refer to our articles: How to Create a Deel Account as a Client and Adding New Global Payroll Entities and Groups.
Check Visa Eligibility
From the homepage, click the People icon and select the Immigration tab.
On the Case Tracker card, by selecting the Check Visa Eligibility option, clients will be prompted with the option to select the country from which they want to request a visa.
By selecting a country, the client will be able to see if EOR Visa or Sponsored visa services are available in that country and the supported visa types. If the service is not available, they will be able to join a waiting list.
For Sponsored Visa, if the service is available and the client doesn’t have an entity in that country, they can add one by following the steps outlined in the Adding New Global Payroll Entities And Groups article.
For the available services, by selecting the option Learn More, clients can check information about the visa type, such as the cost of the application, estimated timeline, etc.
Pre-hire Visa Assessment
A Pre-Hire visa assessment allows clients to evaluate the eligibility of both an entity (if applicable) and an applicant before initiating a contract.
✅ Step 1 - Start visa eligibility check
Clients will be directed to the Visa Eligibility Check section after selecting the country and visa service type (EOR Visa or Sponsored Visa). Click Select for the Pre-hire assessment.
If the client is sponsoring the visa and does not have a sponsoring entity in the country, they will be directed to add one.
✅ Step 2 - Select the preferred visa type
Choose from the list of supported visa types.
✅ Step 3 - Choose the sponsoring entity
This only applies if the client is sponsoring the visa and already has an entity in the country, they can select that entity as the sponsor.
Click Next to create the case, and the client can then click Add Applicant Details.
Once Deel has reviewed the case and provided the eligibility decision, the client will be able to review the application fees and create a contract. Deel requires the contract to be created before proceeding to the visa application stage.
EOR Visa Application
✅ Step 1 - Select the visa applicant
After clicking the Start option for the EOR Visa (Sponsored by Deel) application in the selected country, select the EOR employee from the available employees list. Only one employee can be selected per application.
✅ Step 2 - Select the visa type
There the client will be able to see which visa types are supported for EOR Visa Application in the selected country.
Click Next and the case will be created.
The progress of the case can be checked in the Case Tracker via the Immigration tab.
Sponsored Visa Application
✅ Step 1 - Select the visa applicant
After clicking the Start option for the Sponsored Visa (Sponsored by your entity) application in the selected country, select the direct employee from the available employees list. Only one employee can be selected per application.
✅ Step 2 - Select the visa type
There the client will be able to see which visa types are supported for Sponsored Visa Application in the selected country.
✅ Step 3 - Select the entity
For the Sponsored Visa application, the client must have an entity in the country to hire a sponsored visa service. Additionally, the entity’s sponsorship status needs to be marked as Eligible to Sponsor.
If the entity has not been assessed by Deel, it will be marked as Pending Assessment. Deel will review the entity's eligibility and follow up with the client.
If the entity has been assessed in the last six months, it will be automatically marked as Eligible to Sponsor, and the case will move directly to the Applicant Assessment stage.
Click Next and the case will be created.
The case's progress can be checked in the Case Tracker via the Immigration tab.
Steps on the Visa Application
[ACCORDION] Check eligibility
The very first step in the case is for Deel to assess whether the person applying for the selected visa is indeed eligible for that visa in that country. This process will be carried out by the Deel Immigration team, and the client will be updated about the eligibility on the platform.
[ACCORDION] Review fees and timelines
Once the eligibility has been assessed, clients will see an Action Required within the case to review the costs of the application, timelines, and any additional requirements. Click Review to see a breakdown of this information and select Approve.
[ACCORDION] Create a contract
Depending on the country, for Deel to submit a visa application, a petitioner and a beneficiary are required. Even if they are the same person, a profile must be created on the Deel platform.
Clients will be asked to provide:
- Applicant personal details
- Job details
- Compensation and start date
- Compliance documents (if required)
- Benefits and extras (if necessary)
[ACCORDION] Fill out the intake form
The case has now moved from the assessment to the visa application stage. We will need to collect information from the client for the application. Click Fill Form to provide this information.
Clients will be asked to provide:
- Company information
- Corporate documents
- Corporate finances information
- Job and offer details
- Any additional immigration information
- Petition signatory details
Clients will be able to track the status of the application within the immigration case’s status timeline. Additionally, any updates, required documents, and forms will be visible there. If the client needs to get in touch with the person assigned to their case, they will also have the option to book a call with their immigration specialist.
[ACCORDION] Document review
Once the visa application is complete and approved, the final step will be the document review, where Deel will require the completed documentation to be uploaded on the platform. This will allow the case to be closed and enable us to store the documentation securely. Additionally, it will allow us to send reminders and compliance alerts to ensure that clients are prepared for renewal when the document is about to expire.
