This article explains how Global Payroll clients can complete their mandatory entity onboarding steps in order to run their first payroll for their direct employees.

How to Add a Global Payroll Entity
✅ Step 1 - Go to Organization Settings
Select the Organization Settings icon from the home page.
Select View on the Entities card to manage legal entities in countries where the organization operates from Entities.
✅ Step 2 – Create Entity
Click Create Entity and fill out the required entity details such as legal name, address, and digital presence.
Once the entity has been configured clients can add groups and group members.
How to Complete Entity Onboarding
✅ Step 1 – Review missing onboarding steps
Locate the For You Today area of the home page. The Global Payroll section will display a tracker of entities currently in the process of onboarding.
✅ Step 2 – Add missing details
Select the Entity Details tab and review the incomplete entity onboarding tasks in the Tracker.
Before we can run the first payroll, clients will need to:

Add current workers
- If onboarding multiple employees at once to Global Payroll, please use our mass import tool
- Clients must add at least one worker for the task to be marked complete
- Upload required documents
- Select Organization Settings and then Business Documents to begin uploading missing documents. All documents must be uploaded in order to activate Global Payroll.
- Submit payroll report

[ACCORDION] What if the client uses an external HRIS system?
Direct employees can also be added to Deel through a supported integration. The task will be marked complete.
If clients are manually adding employees or using the mass import feature, adding any number of workers will mark the task as completed.
