Deel's integration with Carta simplifies equity data management, providing a straightforward, secure, and efficient way to handle this important aspect of employee compensation. By connecting Carta to Deel, users can now effortlessly import and manage equity data, ensuring that all information is accurate, up-to-date, and easily accessible. - Integrations Admin - People
- IT Developer Admin
Please ensure that the email address on the Deel contract and the Carta profile match.
Connecting Carta to Deel
Go to App Store, search for and connect Carta by clicking on the connect button.
You'll be redirected to an OAuth screen, check consent on behalf of your organization on and click the accept button to complete the setup.
How It Works
1. Data Transfer from Carta to Deel: Once connected, your equity data from Carta will automatically import into Deel. Carta remains the primary source, ensuring that the most accurate and current equity information is always at hand.
2. Data Integrity and Cleaning: It’s important to note that any manually entered equity data on Deel will be erased upon integrating with Carta. This process ensures data integrity by preventing discrepancies between the two platforms.
3. Accessing Equity Information: After the integration, you can view all imported equity data under the "Equity" tab on Deel. This data is accessible to both clients and workers, providing transparency and ease of access.
4. Manual Data Entry Post-Integration: To maintain data accuracy, manual entry of equity data on Deel is disabled once it’s integrated with Carta. This means all equity information will be solely fetched from Carta.
Your equity team will be notified once the connection between Deel and Carta is successfully established. Clients will receive clear communication regarding the potential deletion of any manually entered equity data as part of the integration process.
The People Match plugin allows you to verify who is connected between Deel and Carta and identify any unmatched users. From the Carta account profile, you can readily see how many accounts are unmatched. Unmatched employees will not be able to receive notifications until their email addresses have been updated.
Clicking on the People Match reveals a side tray of unmatched accounts that you can review and match manually. If you have profiles that we can't match, please verify that these users have a profile in Carta and that the email addresses in Deel (contract email or alternate email) match their Carta profile email. If the user has a personal email in Deel but a work email in their Carta profile this might cause the matching issue.
