To complete this guide, make sure to have:
- A Deel Engage admin access
- Deel Engage enabled on organization
- Survey turned on under Deel Engage
How to set up a survey
To set up a survey, first create and publish it, then assign it to employees.
Creating a survey
To create a survey:
Step 1. Go to Engage > Survey.
Step 2. On the Surveys page, click Create.
Step 3. Customize survey form and Publish.
The survey is published and can be assigned to employees.
Assigning a survey
Now that the survey is published, it can be assigned to employees. Assignments can be made immediately or scheduled for a later time. Additionally, surveys can have due dates with specific timezones to ensure timely completion.
To assign a survey:
Step 1. Select a published survey and go to Participants.
Step 2. Click Assign.
Step 3. In the Assign employees modal, select employees and click Assign.
The survey is assigned to employees and they’ll be notified via e-mail to fill it.
How to manage a survey
After the survey is published and assigned to employees, it can now be managed. Published surveys stay open to responses until they are closed, either immediately or scheduled for a specific date.
To close a survey:
Step 1. Use the ellipsis on a published survey to close it.

Surveys cannot be deleted once they are published, they can only be closed.

The survey builder supports single choice, multiple choice, rating and open ended questions are supported.

Yes, set questions as optional or mandatory, allowing you to control whether they can be skipped.

No, currently survey assignments can not be automated. They must be manually assigned.

Statistics available include results based on question types as well overall survey progress.
