Before you begin

To complete this guide, make sure to have:

• A Deel Engage admin access
• Deel Engage enabled on organization
• Survey turned on under Deel Engage

How to set up a survey

Only published surveys can be assigned to employees.

To set up a survey, first create and publish it, then assign it to employees.

Step 1. Create a survey

1. Go to Engage > Survey.

2. On the Surveys page, click Create.

3. Customize survey form and Publish.

Take note: By default, survey Response Privacy is set to Public. Change this to Anonymous if you don't want participant identities to be stored or displayed.

The survey is published and can be assigned to employees.

Survey questions cannot be edited after they are published. 

Step 2. Assign a survey

Now that the survey is published, it can be assigned to employees. Assignments can be made immediately or scheduled for a later time. Surveys can have due dates in a specific time zone.

1. Select a published survey and go to Participants.  

2. Click Assign

3. In the Assign employees modal, select employees and click Assign

The survey is assigned to employees and they’ll be notified via e-mail to fill it. 

How to manage a survey

After the survey is published and assigned to employees, it can now be managed.

Published surveys stay open to responses until they are closed, either immediately or scheduled for a specific date.

To close a survey, use the ellipsis on a published survey to close it.

Surveys cannot be deleted once they are published, they can only be closed.

Yes, set questions as optional or mandatory, allowing you to control whether they can be skipped.

Net Promoter Score (NPS) questions gauge how likely employees are to recommend your product or service or workplace environment, offering insights into overall satisfaction and growth potential.

No, currently survey assignments can not be automated. They must be manually assigned.

Statistics available include results based on question types as well overall survey progress.
