This guide provides an overview of the steps clients will need to take in order to create and fund their Deel accounts, receive employment quotes, and begin onboarding employees.
Using our EOR model, your organization is able to legally and compliantly work with employees in a foreign country without setting up an official entity in that country.
[DROPDOWN] Please use the dropdown menu below to learn more about the client onboarding process:
[DROPDOWN-OPTION] Step 1: Sign Up For Deel
From the Deel website, click Log In and then Sign Up.
Please note that if you are the first user from your organization to sign up for Deel, you will be required to use your company email for sign up.

[DROPDOWN-OPTION] Step 2: Obtaining an Employment Quote
You will need to request a employment quote for workers in a particular country, and sometimes also the province or state within that country.
Preparing a quote for an EOR employee can take anywhere from a few minutes, up to one business day.
Your quote will include all of the employer costs associated with hiring an employee in the selected country. We break down quotes into three separate cost categories, for your convenience:
Gross salary per month: This is your input when you request the quote
- Employer cost: The mandatory statutory benefits, taxes, or fees the government requires the employer to pay when hiring in a particular country. These are additional to the employee's gross salary
- Management fee: The fee for using Deel's services
If you'd like further details on your quote, download it to view the full breakdown of the employer cost.
The total employer cost will vary according to the employment contract, specific state or province, and the employee's salary.
[DROPDOWN-OPTION] Step 3: Review & Sign the Master Services Agreement & Scope of Work
After you have reviewed the quote, you will be able to view the Master Services Agreement (MSA) and the Scope of Work (SOW) documents.
You will be able to sign the MSA on the platform.
Signing the MSA finalizes the Deel agreement, prompts the deposit payment, and will trigger the employee onboarding process.

[DROPDOWN-OPTION] Step 6: Paying the Deposit and First Payment
Once you have signed the documents on the Deel platform, the first invoice will be available for you to make a payment.
Your Deel home page will have an overview of the deposit and the required first payment.
You will now be able to pay your workers using one of your saved payment methods, or add a new one.
[DROPDOWN-OPTION] Step 7: Review Employee Agreement
We will request certain onboarding and compliance documents from the employee in order to generate the Employment Agreement (EA).
You can review our standard Employee Agreement, and contact us to request any changes to the EA before we send it to the employee.
Our internal group will review your amendment requests to the employee agreement and respond within five business days.
Do not sign the Employee Agreement until any requested changes you've made have been processed. Please note that this may delay the onboarding timeline for your employee.
When the EA is ready, it will be sent to the employee for signature via the employee app.
You will receive an update on the status simultaneously by email.

[DROPDOWN-OPTION] Step 8: Begin Onboarding Employees
Once you pay the deposit, we will countersign the Employee Agreement.
In the EOR model, Deel is the legal 'employer of record' that hires and compensates employees on behalf of your organization.
In countries where medical insurance is available, the employee will receive an email invitation to begin the health insurance enrolment process.
