2 Factor Authentication (2FA) is a method of establishing access to an online account or computer system that requires the user to provide two different types of information. 2 Factor Authentication is a great way to increase security while accessing your Deel account. It adds an extra level of protection to your Deel account to make sure only you have access to your data and transfers.

How to set up 2 Factor Authentication
✅ Step 1 – Click your Avatar to open the Account Menu
✅ Step 2 – Select Account Settings on the drop-down menu
✅ Step 3 – Click on the Security tab (1), and then click Set Up under the 2-Factor Authentication box
✅ Step 4 -- A QR code will appear along with easy access links to download an Authenticator App for your Android or iOS device. NOTE: You may have already downloaded the Authenticator App
✅ Step 5 -- From the Authenticator App, click Set up account and choose Scan a barcode. This App allows you to scan the QR code with the App on your smartphone
✅ Step 6 -- Wait for the next code and enter it in the Enter Code box

When you go back to your "Account Settings" on your Dashboard, you will see the 2 Factor Authentication is now "Active".
How to log in with 2 Factor Authentication
Your account will only be accessible with a randomly generated code from your Authenticator App from this point on. So, you will need your smartphone every time you log in.
We recommend that you enter the activation code from the App before the time runs out.


How to disable 2 Factor Authentication
To disable 2 Factor Authentication, follow these steps:
✅ Step 1 – Click your Avatar to open the Account Menu
✅ Step 2 – Select Account Settings on the drop-down menu
✅ Step 3 – Click on the Security tab (2), and then click the blue trash ban in the upper right corner of the 2 Factor Authentication box (3)

✅ Step 4 -- A final verification code is requested; enter that under "Enter code"
✅ Step 5 -- Click on Confirm

When you go back to your "Account Settings" on your Dashboard, you will see the 2 Factor Authentication is now ready to be "Set up".
How to reset 2 Factor Authentication
