This article explains how clients can terminate contractor agreements, either immediately or by setting a future date.

If you wish to terminate a contractor agreement as soon as possible, please follow these steps
✅ Step 1 – Select contractor
Select the (1) People tab on your home page and select the (2) contractor to wish to terminate
✅ Step 2 – End Contract
Click the (1) Actions option menu to open up contract options for the individual contractor.
Click (2) End Contract.
You may also click directly on a contractor's name instead, and select the (1) Contract Details tab.
Click (2) Set End Date and choose End Now.
✅ Step 3 – Provide an explanation
You must (1) select a reason for ending the contract and provide a detailed explanation.
Your reason and explanation will not be shared with the contractor.
You must notify the contractor, and click (2) Yes, I have informed the contractor in order to proceed.
Click Next to continue.
✅ Step 4 – Confirm final payments
(1) You may be able to opt out of the current month's payment cycle, if this is permitted per your contract details
(2) Click Add Item in order to add or remove extra items like expenses or bonuses. You must select the type of adjustment, the amount, description, and upload a receipt if needed.
(3) You can edit the monthly payment to add a calculated amount, a custom amount, or the full amount at the monthly rate. See the FAQs for more details.
(4) You can review and confirm the equipment submission details.
✅ Step 5 – Review summary
Review the end of contract date and payment details. You can Upload additional documents, if needed.
Click End Contract Now to continue.
Note: An email with updates will be shared with the contractor.
Set a future end date for the contract
✅ Step 1 – End Contract
Click the (1) Actions option menu to open up contract options for the individual contractor.
Click (2) End Contract.
✅ Step 2 – Set future date
Select the (1) End on a future date box.
You must select a (2) reason for ending the contract and a detailed explanation. Please provide specific examples, if possible.
Click Next to continue.
Note: Your reason and explanation will not be shared with the contractor.
✅ Step 3 – Finalize the payments
Select from the different options to confirm the final payments.
Select Next to continue.
✅ Step 4 – Review the End Contract summary
Review the End Contract summary and confirm the date and details.
You can also add a personal message to the contractor, if you wish.
✅ Step 5 – Click Submit to end the contract
