When using a Fixed contract
The invoice is generated automatically depending on your contract details. You can download the invoice preview before the due date on your contract page as shown below:
Note: The invoice won't be visible here if the status is "processing" - this means when the client initiates the transfer to pay the invoice. You'll see the message on the Home page.
If you wish to use your own invoice template, you can do so by following this process. Note that you will be able to upload your own invoice in the "Invoices" tab once it has been paid by your client. You'll see it in the same tab if the invoice becomes overdue.
When using a Pay as you go contract
- You must submit your work (task or hours) on your contract page in order to invoice the client.
- You can download the invoice preview on your contract page. In cycles where there is no work submission, no invoice will be generated.
- Remember to submit your work before the invoice cycle ends. After this date, the work submissions will be added to the following cycle. To check the invoice cycle, open your contract page and click "Contract details" in the upper right corner.

When using a Milestones contract
Once you have completed a Milestone, you must request approval from your client from your contract page. The invoice will appear in your Invoices tab at the left menu when the client approves it.
