Sometimes things change when it comes to employee contracts. So whether it is promoting someone to a new role, adjusting their salary, or increasing their vacation days, you can easily do all this and more on the Deel platform.

To make adjustments to a signed contract, you may request an amendment. Here's how:
✅ Step 1- Select the Contracts tab on your Dashboard
✅ Step 2 – Select the specific contract that you wish to amend
✅ Step 3 – Select the Contract Details (1) tab and click Request Amendment (2)
✅ Step 4 – Click Request Amendment from the pop-up window
✅ Step 5 – Click Amend on the contract section where you want to make changes
You can make multiple contract amendment requests, across several contract detail fields.
✅ Step 6 – Click Update, and then OK on the pop-up window
✅ Step 7 – Click Send Amendment Request
✅ Step 8 – Click Yes, Send Request
The Deel EOR team will review your request, and send you amendment documents to sign if the change is approved.
You can track the progress of the request once it is sent to the employee by going to the employee's contract page and reviewing the Amendments card.

What can be amended in an EOR contract
- Job title
- Type of hire
- Employment type
- Work schedule
- End date of contract

- Annual gross salary
- Job description
✅ Employee details
- Employee full legal name
- Employee nationality
- Employee Passport or ID number
Amendments may be accepted or rejected based on the employer of record (EOR) team review.
If an amendment is rejected, the reason for the rejection will be communicated to the client via email.
If the client requests an amendment that affects payroll or invoices after the cut-off date, it is reflected in the next pay cycle.
Some changes may require an increase in the deposit, such as increasing the employee's salary or increasing the number of holiday days they will receive. In these situations, a member of the Deel team will reach out directly to the client.

Why has my amendment been rejected?
Deel ensures that all requested amendments are fully compliant. If your amendment has been rejected, this may be because it is not possible because it is not legally compliant.

I can't see an amendment for the contract details I'd like to change. What should I do?
If you can't see where you can make the change yourself, please contact us or reach out to your Deel point of contact.
Will I need to increase my deposit to make contract changes?
Possibly, depending on the type of amendment you are requesting. A salary increase or increasing the number of holiday days may require an additional deposit.
