Let's get started!
Log in and locate the "Create a Contract" tab on the left-hand side of the home page.
Locate the Fixed Rate option under the different types of contracts available for creation.
There will be 5 steps to create a Fixed Rate contract.
Step 1
Select and fill in:
- Entity
- Contract name
- Contractor's tax residence
- Job title
- Seniority level
- Scope of work
- Contractor's start date
You can also use one of our saved prompts for scope of work.
Step 2
You will fill in the payment details in this step. Define the rate you want to pay the contractor and how often. You will also choose the invoicing details such as when the invoice cycle ends, when the payment is due, and if you want to pay ahead of the weekend.
Step 3
Define the dates of the contract you are creating by setting the first payment date and whether you want to pay the full amount of payment or pro-rata.
Step 4
This step will have multiple parts:
You can choose a termination date. This means as the client you will pay the contractor after each milestone is reached until the contract has been terminated.
A notice period can be made where either party can terminate the contract after the x number of days chosen.
You can also establish a Stock options offer.
Add any additional documents if you feel the need.
And finally, you will have the option to add a special clause if desired.
Step 5
In this last step, you will decide whether you want to use Deel's locally compliant contract or your own that you can upload.
Choose the contractor's tax residence and learn more about Deel Premium by clicking the "learn more" button in the same window.
The contract has been created!
You will now need to "Review & Sign" the contract and invite the contractor to do the same. You will have the option to "Switch Signing Order" or "Cancel Contract" on the same page.
