Clients can set up a custom subdomain through which their users can access the custom Deel instance.
Before you begin
To use a custom subdomain with White Label, clients must:
- Own the domain they want to configure the subdomain for
- Have access to the DNS settings of the domain
[name].[domain].[tld]
. Other formats are not supported. For more information, see Supported subdomain formats.Subdomain setup flow
The following diagram shows the process for setting up a custom subdomain.
1. Configure the custom subdomain
The client configures the custom subdomain using one of the supported formats, either during the initial setup or afterwards. This triggers an automatic request for the Deel team.
2. Receive the DNS records
The Deel team creates DNS records for the user's custom subdomain and sends them to the email address of the organization’s admin.
3. Update the DNS records
When the user receives the DNS records from the Deel team, they must update their DNS settings with the new DNS records.
When that's done, the user must notify the Deel team about the change via email.
4. The Deel team verifies the DNS configuration
When the Deel team receives the confirmation that the DNS records have been updated, they will verify that the DNS records are correctly set up and confirm to the user that the subdomain has been set up correctly.
5. Ready to use
Users can now access the Deel instance using the custom subdomain.
