Once White Label is active for an organization, the admin can configure it.
To configure White Label:
- On the nav bar, click the cog icon.
- On the Organization settings page, click View on the White label card.
- On the White label page, click Get setup to start the wizard, then follow the instructions in the following sections.
Step 1. Configure organization and domain names
On the first step of the wizard, you can configure the organization name and the domain name.
Customize the settings, then click Continue. You can use the following table for details about each setting.
Setting | Comments |

Organization name | Overrides the default name of your organization for the users that the White Label customizations are available for |
Domain name | The custom subdomain isn't activated automatically. For details on the full process, check How to set up a custom subdomain for White Label. |
Step 2. Configure logos
On the second step of the wizard, you can configure the logos. There's a full size logo and a small size logo for each color mode (light and dark).
Customize the settings, then click Continue. You can use the following table for details about each setting.
Setting | Comments |
---|---|
Light mode full size logo | Displayed in the desktop navigation bar and in the email header and footer. The recommended size is 300x100px or anything above that with a ratio of 3:1. |
Light mode small size logo | Displayed in the mobile navigation bar and used as favicon. The recommended size is 100x100px or anything above that with a ratio of 1:1. |
Dark mode full size logo | Same as the light mode full size logo, but for the dark mode. |
Dark mode small size logo | Same as the light mode small size logo, but for the dark mode. |
Step 3. Configure colors
On the third step of the wizard, you can configure the primary color for light and dark mode.
Customize the settings, then click Continue. You can use the following table for details about each setting.
Settings | Comments |
---|---|
Light mode primary color | Used for buttons and some highlights on the user interface. Also affects any CTAs in the emails that are sent to users. |
Dark mode primary color | Same as the light mode primary color, but for the dark mode. |
Step 4. Configure email sender details and styling
On the fourth step of the wizard, you can configure the email sender and styling.
Customize the settings, then click Continue. You can use the following table for details about each setting.
Setting | Comments |
---|---|
Sender name | The name that appears as the sender of the email |
Sender email address | The email address that emails appear as sent from. You can only use the same sender domain as the custom domain. |
Address | Business address displayed in the footer of the emails that are sent to employees |
Email background colors | For the background color of the email header, body, and footer. These settings are customizable for light and dark templates. |
Step 5. Configure enabled features
On the fifth step of the wizard, you can configure the active features.
Customize the settings, then click Continue. You can use the following table for details about features that can be enabled or disabled.
Setting | Comments |

Enable AI | Enable AI to provide employees with insights through AI-powered chat and tailored app content. |
Enable Powered by Deel | Adds a Powered by Deel watermark to the navigation bar and in key locations of the platform. Once activated, this setting can be customized per worker type. |
Step 6. Review and publish the settings
On the last step of the wizard, you can review the settings and make adjustments.
When you're done, click Publish to publish the settings.
When the customizations are published, the changes will become available to the users.
How to confirm that the White Label settings are working
White label customizations are not visible to every user, but only to specific user types:
- Admins
- Managers
- Employee of Record
- Independent contractor
If you want to test these customizations you can:
- Log in as one of those users
- If you set up a custom subdomain, go to the login page and you will see the custom logo
