EOR Equity Services enables clients to offer equity to their Employer of Record (EOR) employees seamlessly through Deel. Deel offers two options for equity grants: Grant Through Deel and Direct Grant. This article explains how the service works and how clients can add equity to their EORs.
Service Types
Deel offers two types of equity grants:
Grant Through Deel
- Deel manages the benefit, including reporting and tax payments.
- Pricing:
- Up to 10 EOR employees: $100 per EOR per month
- More than 10 EOR employees: $50 per EOR per month
- These fees are in addition to the standard EOR monthly fees.
Direct Grant
- Deel is not involved in managing the benefit.
- The EOR is responsible for reporting and tax payments.
- No additional cost from Deel.
- May pose Permanent Establishment or misclassification risks in some jurisdictions.
Onboarding EORs to the Equity Service
Grants Can Be Added in Several Ways
- From the Equity Hub: Access via the More icon, under the Services tab. Once there, click Add Equity and select the workers
- Via the Homepage: In the Equity widget, select Add EOR Workers
- During Contract Creation: At the Benefits & Extras step, click Add in the EOR Equity Service section
- Via the EOR Profile: Click the Equity option and select Onboard EOR to Equity Service
✅ Step 1 - Add EORs
After selecting one of the entry points listed above, click Start in the EOR Equity Service dashboard and add the EORs to be granted equity.
Note: EORs who have not yet signed their contracts will not be eligible to have equity added.
✅ Step 2 - Select the Equity Type
Select the equity type for each EOR, or click Add to All Workers to apply the same type to everyone.
If an employee is not eligible to receive equity, the reason will be displayed.
✅ Step 3 - Select the Service Type
The available services, Grant Through Deel and/or Direct Grant, will be displayed.
Click Submit to finish adding the workers.
✅ Step 4 - Select signatories
A list of available people to sign the equity agreement will be displayed. Clients can click Group Settings if they need to add other signers.
✅ Step 5 - Review agreements
Click Create and Review Agreements. Once the agreements are created, the selected members will be invited to sign, and it will no longer be possible to change the selected EORs and signatories.
Acknowledge and click Confirm.
Signatories can click Review & Sign. Once they are done, the employees will be activated in the equity service.

[ACCORDION] Will the EOR be notified when they are activated for the equity service?
Yes, they will receive an email notification with details about the activation and instructions for the next steps. Additionally, an activation letter will be stored in the My Documents tab of the EOR’s profile, where they can download a copy of the signed letter for future reference.
