You will be able to enroll in these benefits once you have selected the rest of your benefits through open enrollment.

No, employees can only enroll in FSA through open enrollment or a (Qualifying Life Event) QLE.

No employees will only be eligible to enroll in HSA during open enrollment or when going through a (Qualifying Life Event) QLE after selecting a High Deductible Health Plan (HDHP).

Employees can change the amount of contributions to FSA during open enrollment or through a QLE.

Cards are sent to employees 7-10 business days after their enrollment has been processed.

If you haven’t received your HSA/FSA card, follow these steps to request a replacement:
1. Log in to your HealthEquity account.
2. Go to the "Manage Cards" section.
3. Select the option to order a replacement card.

When you can start using your healthcare benefits
If you are enrolled in healthcare benefits, they will be effective on your start date at Deel, whether you have received your health card or not.
[ACCORDION] If I do not yet have a health card (physical and/or digital) and I need to pay for emergency care, can I get reimbursed?
If your healthcare benefits are already effective, you are eligible for reimbursement, even if you don’t have a health card yet. You will need to pay for the services upfront and can contact your respective carrier to start the reimbursement process.
Please note that any claims eligible for reimbursement will depend on your healthcare plan.

How to get your health card
Your physical health card should arrive at the home address you have specified in the Deel platform within 15 business days after the last day of the enrollment period. If there has been a change to your home address, please let the Deel team know by submitting a request.
[ACCORDION] Can I get a digital card while I wait for my physical card?
- Yes, if you need a health card while you wait for your physical card, you can get a digital health card.
- You can apply for the medical AETNA digital card 7 business days after the last day of your enrollment period.
- Access your carrier’s digital card through their app or by contacting the carrier directly.
- For instructions on registering with other carriers, review the PEO Health Providers Contact Information Table
- If you’re still unable to access your digital card, submit a request to the Deel team.
[ACCORDION] What do I do if I need care (emergency or non-emergency) and I don’t have a physical or digital card yet?
- In case of emergency while you still have not obtained a physical or digital card, please contact your Deel team or fill out this form.
- As long as the date of care is past your start date, you can make a claim as your benefits are effective since your start date. You will need to pay for the services upfront and can contact your respective carrier to start the reimbursement process.
- Register with your carrier and contact them to make a claim for reimbursement.

Where to find your Group ID number
You may be asked for your Group ID number upon registration. Please reach out to the Deel team and submit a request for the PEO Carrier Contacts and Information table. You can then look up your carrier, benefit type and corresponding plan to identify your Group ID number.
