With Deel IT's Store and Reuse service, organizations can maximize the value of devices throughout their entire lifecycle, whether devices are rented from Deel IT, purchased from Deel, or sourced from another supplier.
This service allows devices to be collected, securely stored, refreshed, and reassigned when you’re ready to onboard a new worker.

Store and Reuse for Deel IT Rentals
How It Works
You can request a store and reuse collection directly from the Deel platform when managing an offboarded worker’s equipment or via the quick action buttons in the Asset Tracker.
This service applies to devices only (laptops, mobile devices, and tablets).
If you don’t yet have a new worker to assign the device to, Deel can store it until you’re ready to reuse it.
Pricing and Storage Options
Service cost: $425 (one-off) plus a $25/month storage fee after the third month.
Coverage
Collect from any eligible country and reuse anywhere in the UK, the US, or the EEA/EFTA. Deel IT rentals are not available in all countries. If a client is based in a country not listed below, only customer-owned device storage applies.
Example: A device with a worker in Kenya can be collected and reused in the UK, Europe (EEA/EFTA), or the US.

Reassigning Rental Contracts
Contracts can be reassigned 10 days after collection or once the device arrives at a Deel warehouse (whichever happens first).
Steps:
- From the IT icon, click the Assets tab
- In the Track and manage tab, search for the device
- Click Manage asset, followed by Assign to worker to select the new user
Rental fees remain unchanged, including any country multipliers.
What’s Included for Rental Devices
When Deel collects and stores a rental device, we:
- Appraise the device
- Verify chargers and cables
- Clean and restore the device
- Repair or replace parts (extra fees apply)
- Perform a full digital wipe
- Repackage the device
- Store it securely
- Ship it to the new worker upon reassignment
Store and Reuse Customer Owned Devices
How It Works
To store and reuse devices purchased outside of Deel, devices must first be uploaded to the Deel Asset Tracker. Unlike rentals, this service involves physical storage of your devices in Deel warehouses.
Note Ship-to-hub routes (Canada → US, Kenya → UK, etc.) are no longer supported for customer-owned devices. All customer-owned devices must use local storage.
- Service cost: $310 (one-off) plus a $25/month storage fee after the third month.
Coverage
Customer-owned devices can only be stored and reused within the same country.

Requesting Collection or Reassignment
- Go to the Assets page.
- Select the device asset.
- Click Store.
The device will be available for reuse once it arrives at a warehouse and has been inspected and graded.
What’s Included For Customer-Owned Devices
Your service fee covers:
- Device collection (including customs fees)
- Cleaning and repackaging
- Appraisal and condition grading
- Repairs or replacements if required (extra fees apply)
- Final digital wipe
- Secure storage (monthly fee applies)
- Optional reconfiguration (extra fee)
- Shipping to the next end user
Bring Your Own Device (BYOD)
BYOD is designed for customers who want to use Deel IT services without purchasing devices through Deel. This option is intended for bulk orders of new devices only.
How BYOD Works
- Send devices to Deel hubs (UK, EU, US) or approved local partners (India, Brazil, Philippines, Canada, Mexico, Australia).
- Deel checks in devices, assigns item codes and serial numbers, and adds them to the Asset Tracker
- Organization managers assign devices to team members
- Deel manages delivery and onboarding logistics

BYOD Costs
- Activation fee: $159 per device (includes check-in, first month of storage, and delivery to end user)
- Storage fee: $25 per device per month (from month 2 onward)
Warning
BYOD is not Store and Reuse. For inspection, grading, wiping, or repackaging, use the Store and Reuse service instead.
BYOD Availability and Limitations
- Available in Deel hubs (UK, EU, USA) and select partner locations (India, Brazil, Philippines, Canada, Mexico, Australia)
- New devices only; used devices must use Store and Reuse
- Devices only (may not be suitable for desktops)
Using Your Own Storage Location
You can also track devices stored in your own company locations.
- Add locations in Org Settings > Deel IT > Asset Tracker > Storage Location
- Devices will move from With user to In storage
You can select your own storage location during the Create Asset flow.
