Engage suite is charged per active user - this means how much a client is billed monthly depends on how many active users they have on their organization’s account during a given month. Clients can choose which of their workers are allowed to use the Engage suite. By setting those workers as Engage active users, the client will pay the monthly subscription for them, and at the same time, they will be able to add them to performance review cycles, surveys, learning journeys, etc.
New workers (during onboarding) and existing workers can all be added as active Engage users as long as their profiles show up as workers on the client's account.
This article is for clients and explains how they can set their workers as active Engage users.

Frequently asked questions (FAQs)
[ACCORDION] Why are some workers not shown on either of the lists?
As soon as you create a contract, and you can see the worker in your UI, you should be able to see them in the worker without access list. In the case you have set up an automation, and that person fits the parameters, they will automatically be added to the active user list.
[ACCORDION] Why can’t a journey/career path/review cycle be assigned to a worker?
Only workers who are set up as active Engage users can be assigned. Check in the Organization admin, in the Engage option the active users list and make sure this worker is set as active.
[ACCORDION] Why is X amount being charged for Engage?
Engage charge is based on the agreed price per seat, and based on the highest number of active users per month. Moreover, clients with Engage permissions are counted as active users too. If a user has both a worker activation and client permissions, they will be counted as one seat because they are the same user.
Same user means, same login email. If the same real-world person uses different login emails for their Client and Worker profile, unfortunately, they will be counted as two seats (if a worker is active and the client has permissions).
[ACCORDION] Who can be chosen as an active Engage user?
For any contract that is created, as soon as the worker appears on the client's Deel dashboard, they can be set as active users. Even if they were just invited to join or are in the onboarding process.
[ACCORDION] Who can define active users?
Only Organization admins or Engage admins can define active users.
