This article explains how to sync with Sage if you have already setup General Ledger (GL) on Deel.
Setting up General Ledger to Sage sync
✅ Step 1 – Initiate sync
Open an approved payroll cycle where the General Ledger has been generated, then select Sync GL.
✅ Step 2 – Sync with Sage
Select Sage from the integrations list.
If Sage is already configured for the entity, continue to the General Ledger mapping page and map the General Ledger values to the relevant Sage accounts and segments.
If Sage is not yet connected, open the Sage integration from the App Store before mapping General Ledger values.

- In the left sidebar, expand Apps & Automation.
- Select App Store.
If an App Store welcome dialog appears, select I'll do that later to access the integration catalog.

- On the Apps overview page, find the Accounting section.
- Select Sage.

Select Connect to Sage. Connect to Sage is the current equivalent of the former Set up and sync action.
The Sage setup wizard starts at Confirm required permissions in Sage. Configure permissions, enter account credentials, select the applicable legal entity or entities, and continue to Account mapping.

- On Confirm required permissions in Sage, confirm Sage Web Services Authorizations and Create a Web Service User.
- If applicable, also confirm Multi-currency (optional).
- Select Continue.
Account mapping is the General Ledger mapping stage. Map the General Ledger values to Sage accounts and Sage segments, then select Sync to Sage.
Note: All mappings will be saved for the next time you sync a payroll journal entry to Sage.
✅ Step 3 – Complete Sync
A pop-up indicates that the sync is in progress. When the sync completes without errors, a Sync Successful pop-up confirms that the payroll journal entry was sent to Sage.
On Sage, you will see that the account with the correct amount has been setup on GL.
In Sage, verify that the mapped accounts and segments contain the correct General Ledger amounts.
