Clients can now create and assign projects to pay-as-you-go contractors and other employees. This feature helps in tracking and reporting timesheet hours, ensuring accurate project-based work management.
Employees can select a project when manually submitting shifts or when using the Deel time tracker.

✅ Step 1 – Open Organisation Settings and locate the Projects card
- From any Deel page, click the gear icon in the upper-right corner to open Organisation Settings.
2. On the Organisation Settings landing page, find the Projects card and click View.
⚠️ Can’t see the Projects card? * Scroll to make sure it isn’t hidden farther down the page. * Use the search bar at the top of the settings sidebar to search for Projects. * If you still can’t find it (for example, if your screen looks like the one below), the feature may be disabled in your environment. Contact your Deel representative to have Projects enabled.

✅ Step 2 – Create a new project
Enter the project details and choose the Project Assignment Type. For worker types such as EOR employees, Direct Employee Payroll, Direct Employee HRIS, and PEO employees, select the project assignment for reporting purposes.
✅ Step 3 – Assign workers to the project
Assign individual workers or select a worker group to assign the project to multiple employees at once. Review the details and click Submit.
Once created, projects will be available for employees to select when logging their shifts.

The Projects card can be hidden if the feature is not enabled for your organisation or environment (for example, in some demo accounts). If you cannot locate the card after using the search bar and scrolling the settings page:
- Confirm with your Deel administrator that the Projects feature is part of your subscription.
- Ask your Deel Customer Success Manager to enable the feature for your account.
- Refresh your browser and try again.
If the card is still missing, raise a support ticket with Deel and attach a screenshot of your Organisation Settings page for faster troubleshooting.
