What's included
Standard accounting integrations are included in Deel at no additional cost. This covers the connection between Deel and supported accounting platforms, allowing payroll data to flow through to your accounting software.
Two ways to manage your General Ledger
When it comes to GL setup, you have two options depending on your team's accounting capability and how much support you need.
Option 1: Self-managed, using the G2N report (no additional cost)
Clients with in-house accounting capability can use Deel's G2N payroll report as the input to their own GL process. The G2N report provides a complete breakdown of all payroll components — earnings, deductions, employer taxes, and other cost elements — which your finance team can use to build and maintain journal entries against your own chart of accounts.
This approach gives you full ownership and control, but there are a few important things to understand before choosing it:
- The G2N report shows payroll outcomes, not accounting rules. It doesn't include debit/credit directionality, mapping logic, or validation steps. Your team is responsible for defining and maintaining those.
- Payroll elements change over time. New benefits, deductions, and statutory taxes are introduced as your operations evolve. If you manage your own mappings, you'll need to review and update them regularly to keep journals accurate and balanced.
- Deel can't validate or troubleshoot a self-managed GL. Because client mappings operate outside Deel's controlled configuration, our team can't review them or provide support if discrepancies arise.
Option 2: Expert-led GL configuration (fee applies)
Deel specialists configure your GL to match your specific chart of accounts, entity structure, and accounting requirements. See the section below for details on when fees apply.
When GL configuration fees apply
While the integration itself is provided at no cost, fees apply if your business requires expert-led General Ledger (GL) mapping. This is a separate, optional service where Deel specialists configure your GL to match your specific chart of accounts, entity structure, and accounting requirements.
A service fee will apply if you need:
- Custom GL mapping built and validated by a Deel specialist
- Configuration across multiple entities or countries
- Tailored export formats or custom accounting integration setup
Third-party platform licenses
Some external platforms — particularly certain ERPs — may require their own API license or subscription tier to enable syncing with Deel. This is a requirement set by the third-party provider, not by Deel, and is not included in your Deel subscription.
