Set up one-time and recurring payment sync for Global Payroll

The One-Time Payment Sync and Recurring Payment Sync plugins allow variable and regular payments defined in Workday to be included in payroll when it is processed in Deel.

• One-time payments cover variable payments that are not regularly paid, such as bonuses and commissions.
• Recurring payments cover regular payments outside the core salary package, such as allowances and deductions.

Both plugins rely on DCoD

If DCoD is already configured, no additional Workday setup is required for either plugin.

Before you begin

Before starting the OTP and recurring payment setup, make sure you have completed the required parts of the common connection setup. If you haven't done this yet, go to How to connect Workday GPC to Deel first.

Parts 1 and 2 of the common setup must be complete before continuing:

• Part 1: Connecting Workday to Deel - creating an ISU, setting up security groups, an API client, tokens, and connecting to Deel
• Part 2: Setting up DCoD - integration system, external payroll vendor, and vendor mapping

Part 3 (domain activation) is not required for OTP or recurring payment sync. Discuss payment types with your Deel representative before enabling these plugins. Payment types must be configured by Deel first so that they appear in the mapping step.

Set up one-time payments

Workday setup

One-time payments are synced using DCoD. If DCoD is already configured as part of the common Workday GPC setup, no additional Workday configuration is required.

Deel setup

Step 1: Enable the one-time payment sync plugin

1. In the Plugins and settings tab, locate the Global Payroll - One Time Payment Sync plugin and click Enable.
2. Click Configure next to an entity.
3. Map the Deel and Workday one-time payment types, then click Confirm.
4. On the confirmation dialog, click Enable.
5. Repeat for any remaining entities.

Set up recurring payments

Workday setup

Recurring payments are synced using DCoD. If DCoD is already configured as part of the common Workday GPC setup, no additional Workday configuration is required.

Deel setup

Step 2: Enable the recurring payment sync plugin

1. In the Plugins and settings tab, locate the Global Payroll - Recurring Payment Sync plugin and click Enable.
2. Click Configure next to an entity.
3. Map the Deel and Workday recurring payment types, then click Confirm.
4. On the confirmation dialog, click Enable.
5. Repeat for any remaining entities.
