Payroll component mapping lets you link your expense categories to the correct payroll components in your local payroll software. Once configured, approved expenses from that legal entity are automatically routed into the right payroll inputs.
This article walks you through how to create a mapping for your Deel Payroll (Global Payroll) entities in Deel.
Who can use this?
Payroll component mapping is available to Deel Payroll (Global Payroll) clients. Each legal entity in your organization can be configured independently - you don't need to set up mapping for every entity at the same time.
Note: EOR clients have a default mapping applied automatically by Deel. No setup is required.
Before you begin
Payroll components must be created by Deel PRM before you can complete the mapping.

How to create a payroll component mapping
Step 1 - Navigate to Expenses and Adjustments
Go to Organization Settings and Select Expenses and Adjustments.
Step 2 - Click on Payroll Mapping
Select Payroll Mapping tab and You'll see a list of all your active legal entities. Scroll to the right and click the three-dot menu (⋮) next to the entity you want to configure.
Step 3 - Configure Payroll Mapping
Click Create mapping. You'll see all your expense categories.
For each one, select the payroll component you want to map it to. Review and confirm your mapping.
What happens after mapping is set up?
Once mapping is configured for an entity, workers submitting expenses from that entity will only see the mapped categories. Approved expenses are automatically routed to the correct payroll inputs - no manual processing needed.
If an entity utilizes real-time payroll (RTP), workers will be blocked from submitting expenses until mapping is complete.
For entities not using real-time payroll, workers can still submit expenses if the mapping is incomplete. Any submitted expenses will be sent to the default payroll component.
