Overview
This article explains the withdrawal fees and minimum amounts for each withdrawal method available on Deel. Fees vary by method, and additional charges may apply from your bank or financial institution. For related information, see the About Supported Withdrawal Methods and Currencies article.
Before You Begin
Note:
You must be:
- A contractor with an active Deel account
- Aware that Deel cannot control fees charged by your bank, financial institution, or intermediary banks (for SWIFT transfers)
Withdrawal Fees and Minimums by Method
Step 1 – Review Deel withdrawal fees
- Local Bank Transfers: $0 USD (Deel does not charge a fee; separate provider fees may apply in certain currencies)
- Pix (Brazil): $0 USD
- Cross-Border Withdrawals: $5 USD
- International Transfers / SWIFT: variable fee of $5 USD, capped at $10 USD maximum
- Deel Instant Card Transfer: 0.75% fee (max $25) for US banks; 2% fee (max $15) for all other countries
- Digital Currency Transfer: 2% service charge plus $1 USD flat network fee
- Coinbase – BTC, ETH, SOL, DASH: 1.5%
- Coinbase – USDC: $5 USD flat fee for withdrawals under $300; 1.6% for amounts above $300
- PayPal: 2.5% (minimum $0.25 USD)
- Payoneer: 1% (minimum $12 USD)
- Revolut: $0 USD
- AstroPay: 0.75%
- Wise: $0 USD
- Deel Card: $0 USD
For users in Ecuador, a $25 fee applies to withdrawals — Ecuador uses USD but lacks a local USD clearing system, so withdrawals are processed as international transactions.
Step 2 – Review minimum withdrawal amounts
- Local Bank Transfer: $10 USD minimum
- Pix (Brazil): $0 USD minimum
- SWIFT Bank Transfers: $100 USD minimum
- Payoneer: $50 USD minimum
- Coinbase – ETH, BTC, USDC, DASH: $10 USD minimum
- Coinbase – Solana: $20 USD minimum
- Deel Instant Card Transfer: $5 USD minimum
- Digital Currency Transfer: $5 USD minimum
- All other methods: $5 USD minimum
Note:
Deel does not control maximum withdrawal limits — these are set by individual payment providers. Choose a method that aligns with your needs and the provider's limits.
Step 3 – Understand cross-border transaction fees
- A cross-border transaction is any transfer of funds from one country to another, even if both countries use the same currency.
- Example: a contractor in Argentina withdrawing USD to a US bank is a cross-border transaction.
- Deel applies a $5 fee for same-currency cross-border transactions to cover additional compliance overhead — this fee is included in the provider fee and deducted automatically.
Step 4 – Understand intermediary/correspondent bank fees
SWIFT payments often pass through multiple intermediary banks before reaching the recipient's bank, and each intermediary may deduct its own fee. Neither Deel nor the contractor's bank has visibility or control over these additional fees, which is why they cannot be shown upfront before a SWIFT withdrawal is confirmed. Deel itself charges a variable SWIFT fee of $5, capped at a maximum of $10, passed through from its banking partners — any further shortfall beyond that is from intermediary banks along the payment route, not from Deel.
There are four typical SWIFT fee types a contractor may encounter:
- Outgoing transfer fee — charged by the sender's bank for initiating the SWIFT payment.
- Incoming payment fee — applied by the recipient's bank and potentially by intermediary banks.
- Foreign exchange fee — incurred when converting funds into a different currency.
- SWIFT tracing fee — an optional charge for tracking a transfer, often used in cases of delays or discrepancies.
Step 5 – How to request an MT103
An MT103 is the standard proof of payment for SWIFT transactions and lets a contractor see the processing institutions, amount sent, and fees applied along the route. It is only available for Bank Wire Transfer or SWIFT withdrawals — it is NOT available for Local Bank Transfer withdrawals, and it is not available for FAILED withdrawals.
Step-by-step request process:
- Confirm the withdrawal was made via Bank Wire Transfer or SWIFT — if it was a local bank transfer, advise that an MT103 is not available.
- Confirm the withdrawal is not Failed — MT103 is not available for failed withdrawals.
- Confirm the withdrawal ETA has passed (check the Withdrawal Tracker).
- Request a PONR (Proof of Non-Receipt) from the contractor — a bank statement showing no deposit.
- Escalate with the PONR attached; the escalation can provide the MT103 (if available) and a POP (Proof of Payment), letting the contractor check with their bank while the investigation proceeds with the payment provider.
For transfers that have completed successfully, contractors can also request their UETR (Unique End-to-End Transaction Reference) for SWIFT/ACH withdrawals, which is displayed on the platform once a withdrawal is marked Completed and can be given to their bank to help trace funds — this is a faster alternative to an MT103 for tracing purposes, though it does not itemize fees the way an MT103 does.
Frequently Asked Questions
Why did I receive less than I withdrew via SWIFT?
SWIFT payments can pass through intermediary banks, and each one may deduct its own fee. Deel charges a variable SWIFT fee of $5, capped at $10, but any further deduction comes from banks along the payment route and is outside Deel's control. Contact your bank for a breakdown of the fees applied, or request an MT103 as described in Step 5.
Does Deel charge a fee for Local Bank Transfers?
No. Deel charges $0 for Local Bank Transfers. Separate provider fees may apply in certain currencies.
What is the minimum amount required to withdraw via SWIFT?
The minimum for SWIFT bank transfers is $100 USD.
Troubleshooting

Did you try? |
How to fix |
|---|---|---|
| Withdrawal amount is below the minimum for the selected method | Check the minimum requirements listed in this article | Select a withdrawal method with a lower minimum — for amounts under $10, use Pix, Deel Card, or Digital Currency Transfer. |
| Received less than expected after a SWIFT withdrawal | Checking if intermediary bank fees were deducted | SWIFT intermediary fees are unpredictable and outside Deel's control — contact your bank for a breakdown of fees applied. |
| Cross-border fee applied unexpectedly | Confirming the destination country is different from the source country | A $5 cross-border fee applies automatically to same-currency transfers between countries — this is standard and cannot be waived. |
| Need proof of a SWIFT payment or to trace a shortfall | Checking if the withdrawal was made via Bank Wire Transfer or SWIFT and that it has not failed | Request an MT103 by confirming the withdrawal method, confirming it has not failed, confirming the ETA has passed, providing a PONR (bank statement showing no deposit), and escalating — an MT103 (if available) and POP will be provided. For completed withdrawals, the UETR is displayed on the platform and can be given to your bank to trace funds. |
