How Much Is Required for Withdrawals?
The Deel withdrawal fee varies based on the selected method. However, Deel cannot control any additional transaction or exchange fees charged by a user’s bank or financial institution.
Important Notes:
-
Local Bank Transfers: Withdrawals via local bank transfer may incur separate provider fees in certain currencies. Deel has no control over fees that may be charged by the contractor's bank.
-
SWIFT Withdrawals: This method is available in many countries and currencies but often involves multiple intermediary banks, which can result in unpredictable processing fees. Neither Deel nor the contractor's bank can predict these fees, which may be deducted from the final amount received.
-
For Users in Ecuador: A $25 fee applies to withdrawals. Although Ecuador uses USD, it lacks a local clearing system for U.S. dollars, so withdrawals are processed as international transactions.

Check the About High Value Withdrawals article for more information on withdrawal reviews above a certain threshold.
What Is a Cross-Border Transaction Fee?
Cross-border transactions are transfers of funds from an entity in one country to another country, even if it’s the same currency.
For example: if a contractor from Argentina withdraws USD to a bank in the US, it is still considered a cross-border transaction.
Deel applies a nominal fee of $5 for same-currency, cross-border transactions. This fee covers additional compliance overheads associated with these kinds of transactions.
The cross-border withdrawal fee is included in the provider's fee and automatically deducted from the balance.
