Frequently Asked Questions
[ACCORDION] Can clients customize the holidays that appear on an employee's profile page?
No, the public holidays displayed on the platform are based on Deel's information about national - and in some cases regional - holiday days. The holiday list can not be customized.
[ACCORDION] How does company vacation impact Global Payroll payroll?
Clients will need to create separate policies to represent statutory vs. company vacation.
Both policies will map to different payroll categories which will ensure that our team can properly handle payroll for the time-off taken against each.
Please note that when configuring time-off policies for Global Payroll, clients can set a payroll category to ensure that the time-off policy maps to a particular payroll "behaviour" when payroll is run.
[ACCORDION] Can workers request more time off than they have earned?
It is possible to enable this setting. When creating the policy clients can toggle on the option to let their workers take paid time off before the days have accrued (i.e. carrying a negative balance)
[ACCORDION] Can workers request time off during their termination notice period?
Yes, time off requests are not restricted based on approaching termination. Workers could take off time during their notice period, up to and including their contract end date.
[ACCORDION] Can clients integrate their external HRIS system with Deel to properly record employee time off entries?
Deel has existing HRIS integrations with:
- BambooHR
- Roots
- HiBob
If clients are using one of these HRIS systems, select the Hub icon on the home page, followed by the Apps tab to install the integration.
Clients will need to map their external policies to the pre-set Deel categories to properly configure the integration.
