Clients can make certain changes to the Employment Agreement to fit their needs, a process known as 'redlining'.
This article shows how clients can create a custom Google Docs template and add comments to submit changes to employee agreements.
Please note that requesting changes might delay onboardings and should only be done if strictly necessary.
You can request these changes to the Employee Agreement on the Deel platform which will be reviewed and drafted by our internal group.

Submit an Employee Agreement Edit Request
✅ Step 1 – Open an EOR employee overview page
Select the (1) People Icon on the home page and (2) click on All People Tab.
Select the EOR employee from the list.
✅ Step 2 – Request Changes
On the Employee's profile select View Agreement and if the quote is accepted, select Request Changes to request changes to the EOR contract or update to the employee's EOR agreement.
If quote is not accepted, simply proceed to refine the Employee Agreement page.
✅ Step 3 – Select Edit Agreement Wording
Select the "Edit Agreement Wording" to modify how the contract is written and to add/remove clauses.
✅ Step 4 – Modify the Employee Agreement details
You can now proceed to select the Employee Agreement Template to refine along with adding any additional clauses.
You can add comments as suggested changes to the employee agreement.
The client can also add people from their organization as participants who can comment and suggest access to the redlines Google document template.
✅ Step 5 - Confirm the effective date of the change and review the edits
After making the in-document edits to the employee agreement, you can now select an effective date when these changes will take place. Review the changes and submit.
