This article explains the Mass Misclassification Assessment and how clients can use it to validate and update several worker's classifications at once.
Employee misclassification occurs when a business classifies a worker as an independent contractor for tax and legal purposes but treats them like an employee. To help prevent this, Deel provides a worker classification assessment that will validate your contractor's classification.
Rather than take the assessment once for each worker, you can now classify multiple workers from the same country using our new Mass Assessment feature. This feature allows you to apply the answers from one Worker Classification Assessment survey to multiple workers within the same country.
How to take the Mass Misclassification Assessment
✅ Step 1 - Navigate to Deel's Compliance Hub
Go to People in the menu. Select the Compliance Tab.
Toggle to Worker Classification
✅ Step 2 - Select Take Mass Assessment
✅ Step 3 - Select a location from the Tax Residence list
All of the workers in the Tax Residence you selected will be listed. Uncheck any workers that you would like to omit from the survey's compliance update.
Select Start to begin the Compliance Mass Assessment
✅ Step 4 - Complete the Mass Misclassification Assessment
✅ Step 5 - Review the Mass Misclassification Assessment Results
Review and confirm the workers that will have these assessment results applied.
Select Finish to continue.
Review the results from your Mass Worker Type Assessment.
