How to create a quiz in Engage
A quiz may be added when creating a Learning journey in Engage or editing an existing one.
To create a quiz:
Step 1. Add a quiz step
From the editor dropdown, pick the quiz step and indicate whether it's going to be a single choice (one option) or a multiple choice (multiple options) question.
Step 2. Add a question
Write the question as an optional description, and after providing possible answers, indicate which of them is correct.
For multiple-choice questions, add possible answers and select at least one correct answer.
Step 3. Repeat step 2 above to add more questions and click Publish when done.
Quiz Settings
Under quiz settings, admins can choose:
- If it's mandatory
- What is the pass score
- Whether assignees are allowed to retake a quiz.
Toggle on the option to allow quiz retakes, and employees will be able to do the quiz over and over again, regardless of whether they pass or not.
Tracking Scores and Retakes
On the assignment tab of the main Learning dashboard in Engage, along with journey statistics, admins can see some basic quiz analytics. Such as the number and percentage of employees who have not started or passed, or failed quizzes.
Why are quizzes important?
Quizzes are important because they:
- Evaluate Understanding: They help admins assess how well employees grasp a topic or skill.
- Reinforce Learning: They provide immediate feedback for employees, reinforcing what has been learned and highlighting areas for improvement.
- Track Performance: They allow admins to monitor which employees have passed or failed a test, showing people and areas that need further support.
