This article explains how clients can create a Learning journey with AI in Engage.
Before you begin
- Must be an Engage admin.
- Must have Engage enabled on the organization.
- Must have Learning turned on under Engage

How to Create a Learning Journey with AI in Engage
To create a a Learning Journey with AI in Engage:
Step 1. On Deel, go to Engage > Learning.
Step 2. Create a journey with AI
On the All Journeys page, click Create with AI.
In the Create with AI modal, give a journey description and let AI decide the number of steps.
Choose to enable the sequencer and include a quiz.
Step 3. Save as Draft
Once done, click Create to get a draft generated. Make any changes and review them in the default preview mode.
Step 4. Add Content to Created Journey
When a journey is clicked on, it will open, by default, in the preview mode. To add content, click Edit to open it in the editor instead.
In the builder mode, add as many steps/sections as necessary; each one needs a title. Use the rich text editor to choose each section - whether it is going to be just textual, a quiz, or a task list. And if it is going to have a code block, quote, or embedded media.
Click Add, and from the list of options select Generate steps with AI.
The generated suggestion can be recreated or accepted using the Accept suggestion button.
Step 5. Publish Journey
Happy with the journey's setup? Click Publish to go live with it.
Step 6. Edit Journey Settings As Needed
To update a journey later - edit title, description, delete and re-upload image, click the ellipsis (three dots) next to Edit and select Edit Settings.
Once done, click Save changes.
Upload the SCORM file as a step and Journey
Shareable Content Object Reference Model (SCORM) is a set of technical standards for eLearning software products. A SCORM file can be uploaded either as a learning resource within a step or as a whole course (on a journey level).
To upload as a step:
Type / and from the list of commands, select Upload SCORM file
To upload as a journey:
Step 1. In the Create with AI modal, select Create journey from PDF.
Step 2. Upload the SCORM file and click Create to get a draft generated.
Step 3. Review and Publish.

In a sequential journey, the employee advances to the next step after completing the current one. In a non-sequential journey, all steps are delivered at once and only to the person you assigned the journey.
As mentioned above, in a sequential journey, all the steps can be sent at once or in sequence. Each step can be assigned to a different person, and every step can have a notification with a message field that lets clients customize the message sent in the notification.

A journey can be created for any kind of topic. Admins can use the journeys to create any type of process. It is important to always test the flow and make sure the process is delivered as desired.

No, there is no limit to how many new journeys can be created.

This process represents the onboarding experience for new hires of an organization and can be fully automated. First, create journey steps that contain all the necessary information that the employees need to receive during the onboarding process. Then, through automation, admins can assign the journey by choosing to "Assign on the hire date". On their start date, new employees will receive an automatic assignment to the onboarding journey containing all the information/steps.

For now, admins can involve managers in the onboarding experience. They can create and automate tasks for them. For example, they can set a rule that on the start date, the manager meets the new employee, and on day 4, they check in with them.
