With Deel IT's Store and Reuse service, we’ve expanded our options to support organisations in utilising their devices throughout their entire lifecycle - whether rented or purchased from Deel IT, or acquired from any other supplier.

You can request a collection directly in the Deel platform for devices only (laptops, mobile devices and tablets) while offboarding a team member or with the 'Manage' button on a rented asset.
The purpose of the service is to allow you and your organisation to make the most of your device rental contracts so that if you do not currently have a new team member joining you, we can store devices for you in the meantime.
If you have opted to pay for your device contract via monthly or annual payments, you will continue to pay for your contract while your device is in storage.
The fees are dependent on whichever Store and Reuse option you select:
Collect devices to storage for reuse anywhere within the UK, Europe (EEA/EFTA) or the US using Zone 1/Teleport* storage for $300 or approximately £239/€279 (one off fee).
Collect devices to store and reuse within the same country or customs region using Local storage for $200 or roughly £159/€186.

The platform will make it clear which country you'll be storing the device in.
[ACCORDION] Reassigning contracts
You'll be able to reassign device contracts 10 days after the collection has been completed or once the device arrives at Deel - whichever is sooner.
To reassign your stored contract to another user:
- Head to the ‘Stored’ tab on the asset tracker
- Search for the asset you would like to reassign
- Click on 'Reassign contract' and select a user to reassign it to.
The rental fees remain the same even if your original rental price includes a country multiplier.
[ACCORDION] What is included in the service?
Deel will collect the device. Upon arrival at one of our warehouses, Deel will:
- Appraise the device
- Ensure all additional cables/chargers are included
- Physically clean/restore the device
- Repair the device and repair/replace missing parts if required (subject to an additional repair/replacement fees)
- Digitally wipe the device (ensure the device is factory reset before being shipped out and/or re-configured if we provide a pre-configuration service for your organisation)
- Repackage the device
- Store the device
- Ship the device to your new user once the contract is reassigned
If you are enrolled into Deel's Device Pre-configuration service, the device will be pre-configured before it is dispatched and pre-configuration fees will be applied on your next invoice.

At Deel, we want you to trust us with servicing all of your device and employee lifecycles, such as onboarding and off-boarding. Reusing devices among distributed team members can be a logistical nightmare, especially when you don’t know where or when you’ll hire next.
That’s why we’ve designed a flexible device reuse service - allowing you to store devices for as long as you need, and reuse within or across regions to suit your hiring plans. All in a few clicks.
To store and reuse devices from other suppliers, you must first upload these devices to the Deel Asset Tracker. The key difference here is that, whilst when it comes to Deel IT rentals we store your contracts, with this service, we actually store your physical devices in our warehouses.

For cross border storage requests, you will need to supply the original purchase price of the device so we can accurately calculate customs fees. Customs fees are included in the service cost.
[ACCORDION] Requesting a Store and Reuse collection or reassignment
Please navigate to your 'Assets' page, click on the device asset, and select 'Store' in the top-right corner.
You will be able to reuse the device as soon as it arrives at our warehouse and has been graded for its condition.
[ACCORDION] What's included with the service?
You will pay a one-time service fee per device collection that includes:
- Coordinating the collection and logistics fees, including all customs fees
- Cleaning and repackaging. When a device arrives back at the warehouse, Deel will:
- Appraise the device
- Ensure all additional cables/chargers are included
- Physically clean and restore the device
- Repair the device and replace missing parts, if required (subject to an additional repair/replacement fee)
- Perform a final digital wipe of the device* (return the device to factory reset)
- Repackage the device
- Storage (monthly storage fee applies for devices purchased from Deel/other suppliers)
- Re-configuration (only if applicable, this will incur an extra fee)
- Re-delivery to a new end-user
* Your company is still responsible for initially wiping the device prior to collection. Deel is not liable for any data on the device.
If a customer-owned device is sent to Deel without all of its cables and adapters, Deel will not procure replacements for these missing parts. Please ensure that your team members include all relevant cables and adapters in their packaging.
[ACCORDION] Can I add my own storage location to the Asset Tracker?
Your Asset Tracker should be your one single source of truth when it comes to all of your asset' locations.
You can update it to show you're storing assets in your own storage locations and the locations will change from 'with user' to 'in storage'.
Your storage locations can be managed in Organization settings > Storage location. This is where you can view, edit or delete storage locations.
You can choose to store an asset in your storage own location during the create asset flow.
[ACCORDION] Bring your own device (commonly referred to as BYOD)
Customers who are keen to use Deel IT services, but not necessarily procure all devices from Deel, may consider this scheme for bulk orders.
The service enables you to send us your devices and then dispatch them from the same warehouse to team members, using Deel services you already know and love, within the Deel platform.
To initiate the process, please reach out to your dedicated Account Owner to discuss your needs.
Confirm the shipping details, then the Deel IT team will track it from there.
Once the shipment is received at the warehouse, the team will check in each device, attach item codes and serial numbers.
Once each device is checked into the warehouse, they will show in your Asset Tracker.
Deel IT organisation managers can assign a device to a team member and Deel will manage the rest for you, allowing you a pain free onboarding experience.
Costs
Activation Fee = Global Fee of $100 per device, this will be invoiced on check-in of the device. This fee includes the check-in, first month of storage, and delivery to the end user.
Storage Fee = Global Fee of $20 per month per device, first month is included in activation fee, so this is for month 2 and after.
Note this is not store and reuse → If you require inspection, grading, wiping, packaging, we strongly recommend using Store and Reuse which is a popular route to support all your needs.
Availability
BYOD is available in Deel hubs (UK, EU, USA) and outside of those, a number of integrated trusted local partners in India, Brazil, Philippines, Canada, Mexico & Australia.
BYOD is ONLY for new devices. Used devices must be stored under Store and Reuse
