Before you begin
To successfully set up Deel IT admin permissions, you'll need an organization admin role on Deel.
Overview of Deel IT admin permissions
Deel IT admin permissions do not grant the ability to add or manage workers. However, Deel Organization admins have full control, allowing them to configure, manage, view, and approve all Deel IT platform functions.

Step 1. Set up Deel IT admin permissions
To set up Deel IT admin permissions:
1. Go to Organization settings > Access management.
This is where you can oversee user roles and permissions, invite managers to your organization, and customize roles and permission levels for your team.
2. Click Invite admin.
In the Invite admin modal, select an existing worker or add a new user.
3. Select Organization-level access then click Assign role by the user's name.
4. From the list of admin roles, select Deel IT admin and click Assign role.
This admin role is limited to Deel IT only (full access) but restricted, for other areas.
5. Finally, Invite Admin.
The invited user will receive an email with the invitation.
Step 2. Review your permissions
You can view details about the roles and permissions assigned to you by following these steps:
1. Click your profile Avatar and select Profile settings.
2. On the Profile settings page, navigate to the Personal tab.
3. Under Your Deel Account section, review Roles assigned to you.
Click the information icon to view details of the role, including a comprehensive list of permissions and their descriptions.
Step 3. Review the permissions of other admins
1. Go to Organization settings > Access management.
2. Navigate to the Admins tab to see a list of admins and their assigned roles in your organization.

If you only use Deel for Deel IT, there is no need for Deel IT permissions. Organization admin permission is enough.
[ACCORDION] What permissions are required if I use Deel HR and Deel IT, and I want to separate the access between them?
- Provide the relevant Deel IT permissions to your IT team (This is providing access to Deel IT only, no access to anything else).
- If you want your admins to have access to Deel HR, provide the relevant group-level role to the relevant groups that this IT person needs. This could be viewer (non-sensitive) to view People.
- If your admins need more permissions, you should provide the relevant access rights for each group.
Deel HR is split into groups, and each worker belongs to a specific group. In addition to Deel IT permissions, you should assign the appropriate IT admin access for each group as needed.
If you use Deel for HR, your employees are grouped, allowing you to manage each group's permissions independently.
If an IT admin also needs access to the HR side of Deel, just add the right role or permissions for the groups they need in addition to their IT role.
