Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
[ACCORDION] Should I rent or purchase devices?
That depends on your financial and operational strategy:
- Rentals are typically considered operational expenses
- Purchases are classified as capital expenses and appear on your balance sheet
Both models have their benefits — Deel IT supports either path.
[ACCORDION] Can I mix rentals and purchases?
Yes. You can define which categories of equipment default to rental or purchase within your IT Policy.
[ACCORDION] Can I rent accessories or peripherals?
No. Accessories are available for purchase only and do not include support services.
[ACCORDION] Why is the price higher than retail?
Deel IT devices are priced based on the US recommended retail price plus a store fee.
This fee covers Deel’s vertically integrated service model, including:
- Global warehousing
- Delivery and collection
- Stock guarantees
- Loss and damage protection
- Centralized billing and platform support
[ACCORDION] What’s the difference between Standard and Standard & Loaner support?
Both provide 24/7 repair coverage. Standard & Loaner includes a temporary replacement device during service events.
[ACCORDION] Do I need to configure this for every team?
You can create multiple IT Policies for different departments, locations, or worker types - each with its own defaults.
[ACCORDION] What is the manufacturer warranty and how does the extended warranty work?
All device orders include a 12-month manufacturer warranty as part of Deel’s store fee. You can opt to extend the warranty to 24 or 36 months for purchased devices or long-term rentals, provided you also select a matching global hardware support package.
[ACCORDION] How are add-ons priced?
Add-on pricing depends on:
- Duration (e.g., 12 or 24 months)
-
Payment frequency (monthly or upfront)
We display a “starting from” price based on the lowest-priced eligible device. The final per-device total will be shown on your next invoice (excl. tax).
For rentals, add-on cost is split over the rental term.
For purchases, a one-time payment applies and is linked to the selected service duration.
[ACCORDION] What is my credit limit and how does it affect payments?
Your organization's monthly billing limit is based on Deel’s credit check process. If you’re approved, you can choose monthly payments for rentals. If your limit is reached or your org isn’t approved, purchases will default to upfront payment only.
