This article explains how clients can create and manage a 'multiple approver' policy for payroll submission and payroll package policies, which will mandate a series of manual reviews and approvals before a report is submitted to Deel.
Org admins can invite other workers from the organization to review and approve the payroll before it is processed by Deel. Approvers will be notified if a submitted payroll report needs their review.
Clients can also enable automatic report submissions or package approvals, within a permissable cost variance range.
Creating an approver policy for payroll submission
Step 1 - Select Organization Settings > Entities card
Step 2 - Create a pre-submission approval policy
In the entity overview page, select the Policies tab and then click Create policy.
First, you will need to name the policy and add an optional description.
Step 3 - Select approver names and the approval flow
You may customize the approval hierarchy. For example, you can select that the CFO will be the final approval and only after a lower manager's approval.
You can select individual named workers as approvers, or instead choose a job role - and any one team member with that specified role can approve (only one approval needed).
You can nominate a substitute approver if the selected approver is unavailable.
Toggle on the option if you wish to send an email to the approver when it is time to review and take action on a payroll report.
Clients can also enable automatic report submissions or package approvals, within a permissable cost variance range. To set up an auto-submit policy, see : How to enable automatic payroll report submissions
Step 4 - Submit payroll for review
The approvers will get notified and sent details about the report.
You can see the number of approvers, and the current action status.
Approvers will see that there is a pending payroll report that needs their review when they log into their Deel home page.
