What's Happening?
We are moving all new device ordering to Deel IT, making it the new standard experience. The legacy Equipment page (including Company-owned and Leased Equipment) is being deprecated.Once enabled, you will use the IT tab to place new orders.
Who is Affected? Customers who previously used the legacy Equipment flow or API.
Key Changes: Ordering & Access

Page Access: You will lose access to the Equipment page under People tab once your organization is enabled for Deel IT.

The 'Company-Owned Equipment' section will remain available in a view-only 'Legacy Equipment' mode. (See 'Managing Legacy Equipment' below). Need Monthly Rentals or Worker Self-Requests? These features, along with full lifecycle management, are only available when you upgrade to a paid Deel IT plan. Read more about Per Seat plan.
What's Not Changing?
- Existing Leased Devices: Your current devices remain active under their original terms, pricing, and support process. No disruption.
- Open Orders: Any legacy orders already placed will be fulfilled as usual.
- No Cancellation Required: You do not need to cancel existing leases to start ordering through Deel IT.
Managing Legacy Equipment
[ACCORDION] What happens to devices ordered via the legacy/API flow?
- They remain active on their existing terms
- They will automatically appear in the Asset Tracker within Deel IT for tracking visibility only
[ACCORDION] Can I use Device Lifecycle Management (DLM) actions on legacy leased devices?
- No. DLM actions (such as reassign, store, reuse, clearance, retc) are not available for devices ordered through the legacy flow, even if you upgrade to a paid Deel IT plan. DLM applies only to devices procured via Deel IT

- Leased Devices: As mentioned above, they appear in the Asset Tracker with the same details and available actions as before

Company-Owned Equipment: No. Your existing Company-Owned Equipment will not be automatically migrated to the Deel IT Asset Tracker
- Instead, your existing 'Company-Owned Equipment' page will become a view-only 'Legacy Equipment' page. You will retain access to view all your existing equipment here, but you will not be able to add new ones
- We will provide an option on this page to export all your legacy company-owned equipment into a single CSV file
- This file will be formatted to be compatible with the Deel IT Asset Tracker. Once Deel IT is enabled, you can use this file to bulk import your equipment into the new system if you choose to do so

Billing & Payments
- Purchases: Invoiced at the end of the month when the order is processed
- Upfront Rentals: A single invoice covers the full 12- or 24-month rental term upfront
- Legacy Billing: Billing for your existing legacy devices remains unchanged
