Pricing
Deel IT's pricing is $10 per seat / per month.
New employees added to a paid plan mid-contract will be billed at a prorated rate to align with the original contract duration.
Organizations can start with a small number of seats and increase them as their needs grow.
When a worker is terminated and all equipment is managed, their paid seat becomes available. It will appear in the Seats tab as available and can be reassigned to another worker at any time.
Deel IT seat management
To view how many seats your organization is paying for:
Go to Organization Settings > Deel IT Settings > Seats.
There, you'll see a list of all active workers who have an assigned seat, who don’t, and how many available seats the organization has.
Available seats refer to seats your organization has purchased in advance or seats that were previously assigned to a worker who was later terminated or moved back to the Default (free) policy. These seats can be reassigned to new or existing workers as needed.
Purchasing seats
There are two ways to purchase seats.
1. To add seats:
a. Go to Organization settings > Deel IT settings > Seats.
b. Click Add seats.
c. Indicate the number of seats needed to get a quote.
2. To upgrade a worker:
When upgrading a worker or reassigning them to a paid seat policy, if there are no available seats, there’s an option to purchase a new seat. The seat will be added to the contract and will be prorated to match the end of contract date.

Assigning and removing workers
Any active worker in Deel can be assigned to a paid seat policy.
Workers can be reassigned from a paid seat policy to the Default free policy, which doesn’t require a seat. However, the worker should never have used any paid feature.
When a seat is assigned, the status is “assigned but not in use.” This gives the flexibility to reassign or downgrade the worker if needed. Say there was a mistake or changed your mind. The moment that the worker uses any paid feature, like ordering a pre-configured device, or activating MDM, Endpoint, etc., the seat becomes “assigned and in use.” At that point, it’s locked to the workers until they terminate them and manage all the equipment.
Frequently asked questions (FAQs)
[ACCORDION] Once my organization switches to Per Seat Pricing, does every worker need to have a seat?
No. By default, all workers are assigned to the Default (free) policy, which does not require a seat. Under this policy, workers do not have access to Deel IT and cannot place orders for themselves. However, organization admins and users with an IT role can place orders on their behalf, enabling device procurement with basic IT management capabilities.
[ACCORDION] How can I give workers full access to Deel IT?
Workers can be reassigned to a custom policy, which requires a paid seat and unlocks access to advanced features like pre-configuration, device lifecycle management, and add-ons such as MDM, endpoint protection, and more.
Custom paid policies also allow organizations to give workers access to the equipment catalog so they can request devices themselves. Clients can still maintain full control over requests by approving which products are available and setting a budget allowance.
[ACCORDION] Can an organization have a mix of free and paid seats?
Yes. Organizations can assign some workers to the Default policy while others are upgraded to paid seat policies, giving them access to Deel IT’s full range of features and services.
[ACCORDION] Can I transfer a device from a paid seat worker to a free seat worker?
No, Deel logistics is a paid feature, and both workers should have a seat to transfer the device.
[ACCORDION] Can I reassign a device to a worker without a seat?
No, reassigning a device is a paid feature. You need to upgrade the worker by assigning them to a custom policy that requires a paid seat.
[ACCORDION] Is there an option for organizations to try Deel IT for free?
Yes, all organizations have access to the free tier.
[ACCORDION] Can customers switch from the free tier to Deel IT per seat pricing?
Yes. Clients can upgrade at any time by talking to their account manager. If they need services like device storage or pre-configuration, they will need to purchase a seat for a user.
