PTO Leave Types
Deel supports different leave types. You can see your annual time off entitlement from the Time Off tab on your employee account, and also how many days you have used so far in the current year.
Vacation: is your annual PTO (Paid Time Off). You can also review the statutory vacation policies for your country when you are logged into your account in the FAQ section.
Sick leave: is for illness that renders you unable to work. In some jurisdictions, there are additional documentation requirements. Please review your local requirements carefully on the FAQ on your account.
Regional / Public holidays: are specific days in a country, state, or region when government offices, businesses, and schools are typically closed, and employees are entitled to take a day off with pay or receive special holiday pay rates if they work on those days.
Additional leave: these are leaves that are mandatory requirements for your country based on compliance with the country law. Whether these leaves are paid or unpaid depends on the country's rules. You can find out more details about your time-off policies by checking the “Time off policy details in country X”.
Other leave: is for other applicable paid and unpaid leave including carer leave, and civic responsibilities like jury duty.
