You can now remove Global Payroll or Payroll Employment of Record (PEO) from your onboarding hub. This is helpful if you accidentally added a payroll product during signup or if you no longer need to set up payroll at this time. If you're not using these products, you won't see the remove option.

Why would you remove a worker type?
Here are some common reasons:
- You accidentally selected a payroll worker type during signup and don't plan to use it right now
- You set up onboarding for a worker type you're no longer using
- You want to clean up your onboarding hub and focus on other worker types
- You activated payroll worker types but want to delay setup until later
When you remove a product, it disappears from your onboarding hub. You can always add it back later if you change your mind.
How to remove a worker type from Onboarding
- Go to your Deel platform and navigate to the onboarding hub (also called "Get started").
- Look for the Global Payroll or PEO card. You'll see a Remove button on the card.
-
Click the "Remove" button on the worker type card.
A confirmation modal will pop up. The message will depend on whether you've started onboarding:
- If you haven't started onboarding, the modal will say: "You can always add it back later." A text field labeled "Tell us why (optional)" will appear.
- If you've started onboarding, the modal will say: "You can always add it back later, but you'll need to go through onboarding again." A text field labeled "Tell us why (optional)" will appear.
-
(Optional) If you'd like, type a reason in the "Tell us why?" field. This helps us understand your needs better. Click "Remove" to confirm.
The worker type card immediately disappears from your onboarding hub.
Your onboarding hub refreshes with one fewer worker type to set up.
