Overview
On Deel, clients can change the default branding of the platform and replace Deel branded assets with their own. Custom branding can be applied to:
- Colors
- Logos
- Subdomain

How to apply custom branding for the first time
To set up custom branding for the first time, you must have permission to access Organization settings and manage Custom branding.
Step 1. Start the setup
- Open Organization settings.

- In the left-side settings menu, under Organization & security, click Organization to expand its sub-items.

- Click Custom branding.

- On the Custom branding page, click Get Started in the Customize the app card.
Step 2. Configure the subdomain
On the first step of the wizard, enter the approved organization-specific value in Subdomain setup, then click Continue. A subdomain is required before you can proceed through the setup wizard. Do not enter a made-up subdomain; confirm the intended value with your organization's branding or IT owner.

(Optional) Step 3. Configure the logos
On the Logos step, customize the logos, then click Continue. You can use the following table for details about each setting.
| Setting | Comments |
|---|---|
| Light mode full size logo | Displayed in the desktop navigation bar and in the email header and footer. The recommended size is 300x100px or anything above that with a ratio of 3:1. |
| Light mode small size logo | Displayed in the mobile navigation bar and used as favicon. The recommended size is 100x100px or anything above that with a ratio of 1:1. |
| Dark mode full size logo | Same as the light mode full size logo, but for the dark mode. |
| Dark mode small size logo | Same as the light mode small size logo, but for the dark mode. |
(Optional) Step 4. Configure the colors
On the Color step, customize the colors, then click Continue. You can use the following table for details about each setting.
| Settings | Comments |
|---|---|
| Light mode primary color | Used for buttons and some highlights on the user interface. Also affects any CTAs in the emails that are sent to users. |
| Dark mode primary color | Same as the light mode primary color, but for the dark mode. |
Step 5. Publish the changes
When you're done customizing the branding, click Publish.
Customizations are published and the new settings become available to the users.
How to update custom branding settings
After the client sets up the custom branding for the first time, they can update each setting individually from the Custom branding section.
To update the custom branding settings:
- Open Organization settings.
- Under Organization & security, click Organization to expand its sub-items, then click Custom branding.
- Customize the settings as necessary and click Save changes.
- Click Review changes.
- On the Publish changes dialog, confirm that the changes are correct, then click Publish.
The settings are updated and take effect immediately.
