This article explains why SSO login may fail and what to do based on your current contract status. SSO is configured and managed by your company - not by Deel. Contact your internal IT or HR team to resolve any SSO login issues.
Before you begin
You must be:
- A worker with an active, future, terminated, or long-term leave contract on Deel.
- Attempting to log in via app.deel.com/login or your company's Deel login page https://[yourcompany].deel.team/login
Steps
Step 1: Identify your contract status
- Determine whether your contract is: Active, Future (not yet started), Terminated, or on Long-term leave.
- Your contract status determines which login method is available to you.
- Go to the step below that matches your current status.
Step 2:

Note: Your IT or HR team manages SSO configuration in your company's Identity Provider (IdP) system.
- Contact your company's internal IT or HR support team.
- Ask them to update your email address in the Identity Provider (IdP) system, or to add an SSO exception in Deel.
- SSO exceptions are managed under Organization Settings > Security > Account Access > SSO > Required SSO users > Exceptions

Note: SSO access is only available from your official contract start date.
- Go to app.deel.com/login or your company's Deel login page https://[yourcompany].deel.team/login
- Log in using the email and password linked to the address where you received your Deel invitation.
- SSO will become available on your contract start date.

Note: SSO login is no longer available once a contract has ended.
- Go to app.deel.com/login.
- Log in using your email and password.
- Do not attempt SSO login after contract termination.
Exception: If your last day of work has passed but your contract is still active as per agreement with your company, you may need to log in using your email and password. If you have trouble logging in, contact your internal IT or HR support team and ask whether they've configured an exception under Organization Settings > Security > Account Access > SSO > Required SSO users > Exceptions > ☑ People after their last day of work.
