This article explains how employees can amend and update their bank account details on the Deel Platform.
The salary will be deposited into the updated bank account in the current month, as long as the cut-off date for the employment country hasn't passed. If the cut-off date has passed, the new account will be used for the next pay cycle.
A local bank account in the employee's name is required for tax and compliance purposes.
The name on the account must match the employee's name on Deel.
Using a bank account in someone else's name will cause the salary deposit to be delayed or declined.
✅ Step 1 - Open the Bank Account Tab
In the left sidebar, select Finance to expand its submenu.

Select Payment Settings. The Payment Settings page opens.

✅ Step 2 - Click Edit
On the Payment Settings page, select Edit settings.

This opens the Payment settings view and displays the Bank accounts section.
Under Bank accounts, select the account you want to update by its displayed name and currency. Use the summary panel on the right to confirm that you selected the intended payment destination.

A right-side panel titled Edit bank account opens. Follow the remaining prompts to update your account information.

Please confirm that the account number and recipient details are correct before saving.
Please note that if bank account details are changed after the payroll cut-off date for the location, changes will not take effect until the following payroll cycle.
The bank account must be registered in the employee's name for legal and compliance purposes.
FAQs
[ACCORDION] Can I use a bank account in a different country than my contract employment country?
Yes, you may add an international account from a bank in a different country than your contract employment country.
Please note: using an international account may result in unpredictable delays in receiving your salary, unknown foreign exchange rates, and third party processing fees that we can neither control or predict.
You will be prompted to manually confirm that you are aware of this possibility and wish to continue using an international account.
