When an employee is added to a new state under a PEO contract, we require the client to submit mandatory registration documents to ensure a smooth and compliant setup.
To stay compliant and ensure all records are up-to-date, it’s essential to upload the necessary registration documents to Deel.
Deel securely stores these documents on the platform, making them easily accessible to both your team and Deel for future reference.
This article guides clients on how they can upload these registration documents on the platform.
✅ Step 1 – Navigate to the Tasks section on the Homepage
Log in to your Deel account and confirm that Home is selected in the left sidebar.
On the right side of the Home dashboard, scroll down as needed until the All tasks panel is visible.
In the All tasks panel, locate and select the Tasks row to open the Tasks page. The row has a yellow circular checklist icon on the left.
Other task categories, such as Data update, Expense approvals, Contractors' submissions, or Workforce planning, may appear above it. Check lower in the same list if needed. A task count may appear on the right; this count is account-specific and does not need to match the example.

✅ Step 2 – Select the Document Submission required task
The Your tasks tab opens by default. Search for Document Submission Required and wait for the results to refresh.
If the task appears, select its available action, such as View, to open the Registration & files page.
If Your tasks shows Total 0 items and No results found, select Org tasks. Search for Document Submission Required in Org tasks. This tab shows pending organization tasks, including tasks assigned to other people.
If an Assignees filter is applied, clear or adjust it before searching. If the task appears in Org tasks, select its available action to open the Registration & files page.
✅ Step 3 - Review and Upload the Documents
On the Registration & files page, select the Registration Documents folder. Review the list of required documents for the applicable state.
Use the provided templates to complete each document before uploading it to the relevant folder.
If you already provided these documents during onboarding, re-upload them here to ensure compliance records are current.
Tip: You can also access and manage your registration documents directly from the Tax Registrations Hub (More > Services > Tax Registrations Hub). The Hub gives you a centralized view of all jurisdictions and their document status.
