Before you begin
To successfully start using Deel IT BYOD, you’ll need to:
- Reach out to your dedicated Account Manager to discuss your needs and to get the address of our Deel IT warehouses.
- Procure devices (laptops, mobile devices or tablets) from a manufacturer, and be sure to note the order number and shipment details.
How to use Deel’s Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) program
Step 1: Prepare Your Device Shipment
-
Go to Deel IT > Catalog.
-
Navigate to Bring Your Own Devices (BYOD) to create a shipment request for your devices.
-
On the BYOD page, click Create BYOD shipment.
-
Follow the prompts and provide the necessary information to notify the team about your devices.
-
Complete and submit the form to let the warehouse team know what to expect for the shipment.
When your shipment arrives at the warehouse, the Deel IT team will inspect each device, attaching item codes and serial numbers.
After each device is checked in, it will automatically be listed on the Asset Tracker page for easy tracking.
Step 2: Assign Devices to Team Members
1. Deel IT organization managers can assign the devices to the appropriate team members directly from the Asset Tracker.
2. After assignment, Deel will handle the rest of the onboarding process, ensuring a seamless setup and management of the devices for your team members.
During the order creation flow, managers have the option to select Use Organization Stock. This allows their team to fulfil orders using the BYOD stock already stored in Deel’s warehouses.
How much does BYOD cost?
- Activation Fee: A one-time global fee of $100 per device, invoiced upon check-in. This fee includes device check-in, the first month of storage, and delivery to the end user.
- Storage Fee: A monthly fee of $20 per device, starting from the second month. The first month of storage is included in the activation fee.
Take note: The BYOD program does not support used devices that require inspection, grading, or repackaging. Such devices would fall under our "Store and Reuse" program.
Where is BYOD available?
BYOD is available in Deel hubs (Zone 1 - UK, EU, USA) and outside of those, a number of integrated trusted local partners in India, Brazil, Philippines, Canada, Mexico & Australia.
