The Talent feature streamlines hiring by connecting Deel clients with talent partners. This feature enables clients to share their hiring needs, create specific job requests, and collaborate with talent partners to find suitable candidates.
Once talent partners have been added to the Deel platform and logged in, we’ll collect some details about their business, such as top locations, industries, and specialties in their candidate pool, so they can be easily connected with clients that have corresponding requirements. We recommend that talent partners complete their profiles to increase visibility within our client pool.
Understanding the Talent Tab
Every talent partner must have a client account to be activated as a talent partner. Once the talent partner experience is enabled for their account, they can switch their user type from Client to Talent Partner directly from the homepage by clicking their profile icon at the top right corner and selecting Talent Partner from the dropdown menu. Once they are in, they will see seven tabs each providing specific functionality and content.
Overview Tab
From there, talent partners will have an overview of workforce management, including live job requests, approved candidates, hired candidates, job request pending tasks, and job request and candidate tracking.
Job Requests Tab
From here, talent partners can view all live, paused, and closed job requests. They can also take action on these requests by reviewing a job request and submitting candidates for it.
Additionally, by selecting an accepted job request and clicking the three vertical dots on the request, it is possible to withdraw from it by selecting Withdraw from job.
Candidates Tab
From this tab, talent partners can create a candidate profile and submit a candidate. Additionally, they will be able to see a list of all candidates and their statuses and withdraw them if necessary.
Client Conversations Tab
The Client Conversations tab centralizes all communication between clients and talent partners. Conversations are organized at the candidate, requisition, and client/talent partner levels and can be filtered by candidate name, job request, talent partner, or client status.
Within this tab, talent partners can:
- View conversation threads with clients
- Post new messages directly on the platform
- Leave candidate, job request, or client-specific comments, which trigger email notifications for the other party
Clients Tab
From this tab, talent partners will have an overview of all the clients they are working with and the job requests associated with each client.
Pending Tasks Tab
From this tab, the talent partner will have access to all pending tasks and actions on them.
Candidate Profiles Tab
In this tab, talent partners will see all candidate profiles, including details such as the creation date, experience, and more. They can also edit and delete candidates and submit them to job requests.
Analytics Tab
In this tab, talent partners can track their performance on Deel Talent through key metrics and visual insights. The Analytics dashboard gives you visibility into how you're performing relative to Deel's benchmarks, helping you understand what's working well and where you can improve.
What You'll See in Analytics
The dashboard displays performance data across two main areas:
- Job Request Activity - How you're responding to and engaging with client requests
- Candidate Performance - How your submitted candidates are progressing through the hiring process
Job Request Metrics
These metrics track how quickly and effectively you engage with client hiring requests:
- Requests Received - The number of job requests sent to you by clients
- Acceptance Rate - The percentage of requests you accept (vs. decline or ignore)
- Response Time - How quickly you respond to new job requests (target: ≤ 24 business hours)
- Approval Rate - The percentage of your submitted candidates that clients approve to move forward
Candidate Performance Metrics
These metrics show how your candidates perform throughout the hiring pipeline:
- Submission Rate - How many candidates you submit relative to the requests you accept
- Time to First Submission - How quickly you submit your first candidate after accepting a request (target: ≤ 5 business days)
- Approval Rate - The percentage of your candidates that clients approve after review
- Hire Rate - The percentage of your submitted candidates who are ultimately hired by the client
Understanding Your Performance Score
Deel uses a performance scoring system to evaluate your overall effectiveness as a Talent Partner. Here's how it works:
Three Performance Tiers
Each metric is evaluated against benchmarks set by top-performing Talent Partners on the platform. You're placed into one of three tiers based on your performance:
- Top Performer - Your metrics exceed the standard benchmark. You're delivering exceptional results. (Tier 1)
- Average - Your metrics meet the baseline standard. You're performing in line with platform expectations. (Tier 2)
- Below Average - Your metrics fall below the expected standard. There's an opportunity to improve. (Tier 3)
Each tier earns you points, and your overall performance score reflects how many metrics you're excelling in versus where you may need improvement.
Performance Data Updates
Your performance metrics are calculated monthly on a calendar basis, so you'll see your tier assignments and scores refresh at the start of each month. This gives you clear, predictable feedback on how you're doing.
Benchmarks and How You Stack Up
The dashboard displays anonymized benchmark data alongside your own metrics. This allows you to:
- See how you compare to the platform average (without seeing other TPs' names or data)
- Identify which metrics you excel in and which need attention
- Set realistic improvement targets based on top-performer data
- Track progress month-to-month
Benchmarks are calibrated based on observed platform performance and refined quarterly, so they reflect realistic, achievable standards.
Filtering Your Data
To dig deeper, you can filter your performance data by:
- Time Period - Compare performance across different months or quarters
- Client - See how you're performing with specific clients, which can reveal patterns (e.g., better approval rates with certain industries or geographies)
How to Improve Your Performance
If you're below average on a metric, here are some actionable steps:
- Response Time - Set notifications on new job requests and aim to respond within 24 hours of receiving them
- Time to First Submission - Review requirements immediately upon accepting a request, and prioritize finding qualified candidates quickly
- Approval Rate - Work with clients to clarify job requirements and cultural fit; if you're consistently seeing rejections, ask for feedback on what you're missing
- Hire Rate - Ensure candidates meet all technical and soft-skill requirements before submission; quality over quantity matters

[ACCORDION] How to accept a candidate's offer?
Talent partners can accept a candidate's offer through the Review Offer process in Talent.
Here's how it works:
- After the client sends an offer, the talent partner receives it for review
- The talent partner can then review the details and make a decision
- They have the option to either accept or reject the offer
What happens after acceptance:
- Once the talent partner accepts the offer, the candidate's status changes to Ready to Hire
- The client can then proceed to create a contract by clicking Hire from the Candidates tab
- This directs them to the Add People flow, where a worker profile is created and linked to the candidate
Important note: The talent partner manages this process on behalf of the candidate, as candidates only engage at the final stage when the client creates a Deel account for them and sends an invitation.
